Requirements
Must:
- Degree in computer science or comparable training
- Several years of experience in network administration
- Good knowledge of network technologies (LAN, WAN, WLAN), firewall administration, and routing and switching, ideally based on PaloAlto & Cisco
- Initial knowledge of data centre coupling, NAC, 802.1x authentication, network automation, data centre operation, structured cabling, and WAN environment (MPLS)
- Experience with network trace evaluations under Wireshark or similar
- Initial experience in the field of IT security and in dealing with XDR/MDR solutions is desirable
- Good command of German and English
- Valid work permit for the European Union
- Ability to cooperate and work in a team
Responsibilities
- As part of our team, I will plan, implement, and administer network and firewall infrastructures, ensuring that my colleagues have a smooth working day
- I will take responsibility for the operational reliability of switches, firewalls, load balancers, and their services, including monitoring, support, incident management, patch management, release management, change management, and problem management
- I will manage XDR/MDR solutions and address security incidents
- I will develop standards, technical guidelines, and operating concepts
- I will handle colleagues' IT concerns and process them in our internal ticket system
- I will maintain our documentation and provide my know-how
- I will work collaboratively in an international team and be the point of contact for technical and organisational questions
